What We're About

Sky Communications Limited (Skycomms) is a full service telecommunications contractor, providing a comprehensive range of services to telecommunications operators and vendors. Skycomms has performed projects from minor installations through to full turnkey solutions in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands.

Skycomms is part of the Electra Group of companies, an electricity network company that owns and operates the electricity lines and distribution assets in the Kapiti/Horowhenua region. The combined Electra Group currently employs 200 staff and group turnover is approximately $80 million with total assets of $170 million.

Skycomms has performed many large-scale national projects, and in doing so has developed a nation-wide infrastructure of engineers, project managers, telecommunications technicians, riggers, cable installers, electricians, civil contractors and support staff. Many of these personnel have an ongoing relationship with Skycomms due to work undertaken for nation-wide maintenance contracts held by the group.

Skycomms has also formed several strategic alliances with fellow communications contracting organisations, enabling the seamless provision of a diverse range of skills and capabilities.
